Market Research Analyst
Position: Market Research Analyst
Duties: Design and conduct web-based, mail-based and field-based surveys and questionnaires, and analyze sales statistics and buying patterns to capture, manipulate and analyze customer information. Process the obtained information to perform in-depth market analysis as it relates to market segmentation.
Research and gathering data on client competitors and analyze prices sales and methods of marketing and distribution related to different segments of each the market.
Interpret and analyze the data in order to assess potential sales of company’s products by interpreting and analyzing statistical data on past sales to predict future sales, positive and negative trends, trends in sales and distribution. Forecast the impact of advertising and marketing campaigns in client future sales by analyzing customer response rates, average sales amounts and performance of client competitors. Analyze the data related to different segments of each market, client operational costs, performance, and profit against the competition in order to select and recommend to management the segment of each market more receptive to petitioner’s products.
Develop appropriate tools to incorporate into reports, summarize and communicate to client management data and analysis of customer profiles, customer behavior, competitors’ prices sales and methods of advertising and marketing, and sales forecasts.
Determine campaign offers, design and perform marketing tests. Analyze, summarize, and communicate results of tests, promotions and projects, and recommend course of actions. Interact with management, technology contractors and outside consultants.
Research and development of new marketing and sales opportunities, provide adjustments to forecasts by analyzing customer response rates, and sales average, communicate and review the impact of current and new business trends.
Measures the effectiveness of marketing programs and strategies. Prepares reports for client management. Prepares presentations to communicate to client management market trends, data and analysis in order to assist in the elaboration of cohesive sales and marketing plans.
- Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Market Research or Business Administration, and 1 year of experience on the job offered.
